Scared

Question Posted Wednesday May 18 2005, 4:55 pm

Okay i know that all scary movies are fake and stuff. It's just that at night when I'm in my bed i always think about the grudge, freddy, jason, micheal myers, and all that stuff. And i don't know how to stop thinking about it. And one time I was at a party and I did Bloody Mary which scared the crap at of me. And after i did it I got so scared i had to sleep with my parents for like 5 months and at school someone would have to come to the bathroom with me(not in the same stall though) But anyways.. I don't know how to not be scared any more.. Does anyone have ideas?<33Kate

Before you go to bed try to watch a non-scary movie or read a book that has no scary parts in it.

just remember their all actors and that none of it is real, and it helps if you watch a movie with an actor that was in one of those scary movies like that isn't scary so you see that they do a lot of movies and none of its real

Omg, me too. Halloween scared me for like 3 months. I just saw The Grudge,a nd it scared the freaking daylights out of me. One simple thing that you need to know and not do anymore: Don't watch scary movies, and dont do stuff like that. Bloody Mary is sooo fake. Don't worry about it-when it comes into your head, think about something funny that happened to you once, or think of your crush, like thinking you are making out with him. This teqnuique worked for me. Try it out, and let me know how it goes.
Hoped i helped,
Jess

Leigh answered Wednesday May 18 2005, 5:22 pm:
That is so normal. I have a lot of friends who are the same way, I even get that way sometimes. Since you do get afraid (which is just fine and normal) seperate yourself from watching these kinds of movies. If your group of friends want to go see a scary movie suggest a romantic movie or something that is not scary. This way you won't have all of these scary images going through your head. If you are thinking of these fictional charcters try hard to think of other things like happy things...That is what I try doing.
