is there any way to purposely delay your period?

Question Posted Wednesday May 18 2005, 4:11 pm

ok my period isnt completely regular..sometimes i would get it on the same day a month later..other times i would get it 5 days after i started it the previous month. (that was the case for this month) I have an important party in exactly a month and i reeeally dont want to be on my period then..i hear stress and weight loss can delay you..should i stress myself out over the upcomng finals and should i start to lose a lot of weight..and will this delay my period?

Um, yeah that's kinda hard, there are some birth controll pills that make you only have 4 periods a year, but if your a teen, your parents might become a little concerned.

I think birth control delays your period. That medicine...seasonale maybe also delays it. I wouldn't dramatically lose weight or stress, if I were you though.

When did you start? Are you saying it likes teeters every month? I mean, it seems like thats partly what your asking..so, yea. If you just started this year, it can be like that. I'm the same way, because i just started in Oct. So trying asking your doctor if they do have pills or anything.
