vollyeball is so much fun too. i can hit the ball farther and higher.
and gymnastics i can stretch really really far. and i can do all kinds of stunts which helped me in cheerleading.
wrwckfhgk9408 answered Saturday June 25 2005, 11:49 pm: Try sports like field hockey, lacrosse, or softball. But keep in mind that if your sister really like a girly-girl type, these sports might not be for her. Any type of girl can play softball, and become amazing at it with practice. Field hockey is a great sport. It requires a lot of dedication, and is very skill based. Lacrosse is a big running sport, but still involves a lot of strategy. A lot of people play soccer, so i would definetly suggest a sport that isn't as mainstream like the 3 i mentioned above. [ wrwckfhgk9408's advice column | Ask wrwckfhgk9408 A Question ]

LuckiDuck1289 answered Sunday May 29 2005, 4:43 pm: try gymnastics. its fun, challenging, takes athletic ability (which you said she has), and has the extreme WOW factor because many many ppl cannot do it. it just takes practice to learn the skills but the pay off is awesome. there are 10 levels (im level 9) and once you get past level ten you can become an Elite gymnast which is the level that the gymnasts are that you see on tv. a good site is www.insidegymnastics.com or www.usa-gymnastics.org or the 2004 olympic champs site is www.carlypatterson.com ... hope that helped! talk to you later [ LuckiDuck1289's advice column | Ask LuckiDuck1289 A Question ]

augustagurrl answered Monday May 16 2005, 9:15 pm: she should try taekwondo. i love it soo much and its such a good workout. there is also tennis which is so much fun. tennis is really good for people who are quick on their feet and are good at sprinting. and you also have to have hand-eye coordination. taekwondo is for people who like learning self defense and kicking and punching basically lol. and of course if none of those is for her..she should look into track and field. there are SO many differnt things she could do in track and field...like..sprinting, long distance, long jump, high jump..relayz..you can throw jump run sprint and anything else. i hope i list something she could enjoy. hope i help

not_your_star34 answered Monday May 16 2005, 6:43 pm: Lacrosse is by far the best sport ever. It's a mix of soccer and basketball, but believe me, I despise soccer and basketball and I love lacrosse.
Lacrosse is for people that are very athletic and can run fairly fast for a long period of time. You also need good aim and great hand-eye coordination.
For lacrosse, you wear a mouthguard, eye protection, and you use a crosse (the stick) to catch and throw the ball. (If you're a goalie, it's different, the head of the crosse is larger and they wear a helmet and more protection)
Basically, the object of the game is to get the ball in your goal. There are three main positions (Mid-field, defense, attack), but there are wings, too.
The girl's crosse doesn't have a pocket like a boy's crosse, so you have to cradle to keep the ball in the head (turn the crosse back and forth in a circular motion using your fingers).
To find out how to actually play the game (it's a bit complicated), go here:
