aeromonkey answered Monday May 16 2005, 8:02 pm: I got my mom to buy me one for sports. I was always away on trips w/ school sports and clubs and needed a way to keep in touch. Also tell your parents it's a safety measure. After the columbine shootings and other bombings and stuff hapening at school, I told my mom i wanted a way to stay in touch in case something happened, but if you really don't need one don't bother your parents because they're kinda expensive (plans)
Hope it works out

Daisy answered Monday May 16 2005, 6:08 pm: My parents bought me a cell phone because if I go out and they need to contact me the they can. If you are ever in trouble eg: it's late at night and you end up on your own somewhere then you need to call home. For safety reasons above anything else it is good to have a cell phone. They don't have to pay those monthly bills you can just get a pay as you go phone when you top it up yourself. [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
