just say that your not ready for a relationship and you'd prefer to be just friends with him.

Just tell him that you aren't feeling a connection with him and since you don't feel anything, you don't want to stay with him. Tell him there are plenty of other girls out there who, you're sure would want to go out with him, and who would feel a connection with him. Good luck!
