Yes it is calcium defiency. I personally have it but it is because i am lactose and tolerant. drinkning just a little milk in your tea, isnt going to do it. if you hate the way your nails look, then get fake ones put on, thats what i did. try eating more cheese, yogurt, milk, ice cream, or anything with lots of calcium. they also have, in stores, like chewable vitamin tablets.

The supplement that helps hair and nails is an herb called Horse Tail. THe pharmaceutical name is silocon. It is a trace mineral found in the Horse Tail Plant. It will do wonders for your hair and nails. IT is not expensive. You can get it at any health food or vitamin store, or on the internet. look up Horsetail or Horse Tail Supplements.

I wouldn't say that it necessarily means you have a calcium deficiency. BUT, if you don't have little white chips in your nails, it means you definitally aren't getting too much. Just because you eat cheese and drink milk in your tea doesn't mean you are getting enough calcium. You should be drinking a few glasses of milk each day, try one with each meal.
