track I have a track meet friday, and last time i had one, i fell! and couldnt run for the rest of that meet. Well, like i said above, I have a Track Meet Friday, and I am soo scared!!! and I am so nervous, i have been since monday, no joke! and i have been thinking about it since then! i know it sounds crazy, but it sure is true!! SO, what are some things that i can do to distract myself from being nervous? I have a fear of falling too, i fell in the open 100M dash! and i have to do it again tomorrow, and also the open 200M dash! and i am fine w/ doing the 200, its the 100 i am nervous about. when i fell i dontknow what happened, and i only had scratches on my legs, not my hands or anything. so, i think i was breathing funny because i was nervous and blacked out. well, I also dont know weather or not to use the blocks. :/

My friend tripped a couple times at track meets but she just got up and kept going. Dont be nervous, just have fun! If you trip its not a big deal, its probably because u might have stepped on your own feet { thats happened to me before}. To distract yourself sing a song in your head while your running or think of someone you hate or dont like. Good Luck at your meet!

hey.. i ran track too (track season is over for us) so i know how you feel. and i know, when you're not nervous, you run a LOT better. bring your CD player to the track meet and just chill. even dance! (thats what i did) most importantly, RELAX! hang out with your friends before your event, and have a good time. (just make sure you dont overdo it!) make sure you stay active, run across the field a couple of times with your friends to warm up. hope this helps, good luck!

omg babe!! ive nvere done track but i do competitive gymnastics, so all i can say is just try to relax and think about something else...bc if you think about it too much it is more likely htat it will come true! so jsut stay positive and good luck! ]
I've been in the same situasion..I think thats how you spell it but yea just Don't think about it AT ALL and it will make you less nervous and probably make you not fall!

I'm on the track team too... i use to do the 100 but i do the 200 and sometimes 800... what my friend told me to do is when your at the starting line and such just focus.. like some people will be jumping aroung and such but just get in your position and just look at the finish line... easy breaths... just like its only you.. block eveyone out and when the gun goes off so do you... i tried it during the 200 and i thought it works... GOOD LUCK AT YOUR MEET... I HAVE ONE TOMORROW!!! I'm doing the 800, throwing disc ( i usual throw shot put), 4x1 relay (we are close to making states), and long jump... im a busy gal... try what i said and tell me how it goes
