black streaks.. how the fuck do i do it?
well ya see i want to get black streaks in my hair... idk how i should do it tho... my parents dont want me to say they wouldnt take me to get it done... so im gona do it without asking them...
my hair comes a TINY bit bellow my shoulders in the front...its layerd like crazy...and it gets longer in the back...and its naturally wavy and really thick... oh yea and i also have bangs down a tiny bit pasmy eyes... and its a bunch of different colors ( naturally)... mostly dirtly blonde, light brown... how should i get it done? should i go to a salon anyways? if i dont... what product should i use? also... if i do it myslef... how? also if i go to a salon... how much is it?
PS if it helps... i like the way Xtina Agularas hair looked when it had black streaks

The safest hing to do would probably be going to a salon to get it done. That way you know the streaks will be even and you will get a good end result. Otherwise if you want to do it yourself get a friend to help you because you won't be able to do the streaks at the back yourself and you need all the bits youre going to streak to be even. Good luck

my hair is probibly exactly how you want yours..and i have a picture of me on my column..its in black and white but my streeks are a dark/redish brown..i have a normal version of that picture if you want to see it to base how your going to do your hair. but really i think you should go to a salon to get it done. because the colors out of the box can turn your hair the WRONG color. for black it could make you have purple,dark blue, or even dark green hair! so i suggest u go get it done professionally. and xtina agulara had extentions ... she had them put in as "peek-a-boos" is what they call them in the hair styling business thing..i kno this cause i asked for that two and they said its hard to put in peek-a-boos with out extentions so i just got streeks! but dont lisen to the person under me itll look awsome..so tell your parents its your hair and they should let u do what you want with it! good luck with everything..if you need more help just ask me cause i know lots about what your wanting for your hair!

It might be a better idea to go to a salon, but if your parents are disagreeing and telling you not to go with it, I would try a temporary color first, like Loreal Color Pulse in Black and see how you like the look. For Color Pulse, it comes in a foam, so take a little bit on each finger and just run your fingers randomly through your hair and wait. You will have temporary black streaks. If you want to go permanent, definitely go to a salon. If you try to do it yourself, there may be an accident causing your hair to become totally black, or have the lowlights be unevenly spaced or choppy looking.

xtina's hair is really unique.. im pretty sure that she got a really expencive hair stylist.. if you go to a salon it will cost pretty much.. usually when i got mine done it costed from 77-110 dollars... if you do it at your house it should only cost like 10 dollars or so.. you could try and get one of those hair things that have the highlighting styling comb.. my mom did my sisters at home with one.. it came out real good! xtinas hair was kinda funky looking because she had like chains in her hair and it was braided thats why it looked so cool... her hair was like mostly the same way most people get there hair highlighted but she had like a lot of black at the ends of her hair.. a stylist could problemby get it most acurate look here is a picture of her if you actually go to a salon and want to print it out... Yeah, Start out getting it done at a salon. I got a few highlights a few years ago and it was $60. So it all depends where you get it done and how many highlights you want. Though keep in mind Christina Aguilera is going bald from all the hair coloring and extensions. After hearing that I never got my hair colored again. I'd rather have healthy hair. :-)

Okay i've done highlights myself so many times with black.. and its no big deal but ive also got it done at a salon which its a whole lot cheaper to do it yourself.. well first off since you have real thick hair.. and youve never dyed your hair yourself before i would get it done at a salon first because thats how i learned and thought how to do it myself.. so i would suggest gettin it professionally done firstthen tryin it yourself when it grows out.. much luv dez x0x0 if you want me to try and explain how to do it yourself drop it in my inbox.. x0x0

If you want to have it like Christina Aguilaras, you're going to want to go to a salon. It's very hard to get things exactly how you like them when you are doing it yourself. Prices can range anywhere from $40 to $100 depending on how much they charge and exactly how much of your hair you want highlighted.
I don't recommend doing this behind your parents back though, considering they are obviously going to find out.
