Question Posted Wednesday April 27 2005, 6:01 pm

on AIM, when you put your cursor over someone's screen name, it says "Service, Warnings, Online Time, Capabilities" right?

Well when I put my cursor over my best friend's screen name, it says all of those things, but the last thing says "Comments: BFF"

She said she didn't put it there, so how did it get there? Is there a way to give certain people secret messages when they hover over your screen name? If anyone knows, how? Thanks

When you right click on your buddy's name, near the bottom it says "Store/Edit Buddy Comment.", and then you can type in whatever you want it to say.

I have aim and i put comments for almost all of my friends. How you do it is you right click on the screen name you want to comment. Then you click on 'Store/Edit Buddy Comment' and put your comment there.

i hope this helps

I know what you'Re talking about, and this could only be done fRom YOUR computeR... so if you did not do it, she pRobably did, and if she insists she did not... then someone else did -- someone with access to youR computeR obviously. But why on eaRth would anyone else put that undeR heR name? Hmm.. I think she's just being cute =D But if you'd like to do that foR anotheR on youR buddy list, Right click theiR name and click add comments, oR something close to that. Hope I helped!!

You had to somehow put that comment on your best friend's screen name because if she did that on her AIM on her computer, it wouldn't show up on your computer. If your friend was on your screen name at your house, she probably did that, even though she said she didn't. You can't give people certain messages. You just have to click on their screen name so their name is highlighted in yellow, right click, and go to "Store/Edit Buddy Comments" and enter a comment.

You put it there. You put it under "Comments" somehow. I bet you were just playing around with AIm one day and found a place to put comments. I remember seeing that option, butI forgot where. So no there are no secret messages through aim. So yeah..hope I helped..
