Okay well i have been on a diet for about a month now. I have lost 10 pounds. (I'm pretty big so i'm nowhere close to goal weight.) I was wondering if anyone had any tips to speed up the weight loss? And also, I know it takes time, but no one has even noticed that I lost weight so it is starting to really get to me. It is very hard to stick to a diet but I am doing it and no one is even noticing! Some people still make fun of me and it gets discouraging. Does anyone know what I could do to just block out what they say until I lose all the weight?
xxBrOkEnxx answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 8:09 pm: you dont want to do it at a fast pace because your body isnt going to be use to it so when you eat junk again then you will gain it. dont worry every is probably noticing but doesnt want to say it. keep it up [ xxBrOkEnxx's advice column | Ask xxBrOkEnxx A Question ]

If you can lose ten pounds in your first month and you keep on going how you're going think of how much weight you'll have lost in two months time? Then people really will start noticing! Just bear this in mind everytime you feel a bit disheartened as you're doing so well and it'd be a real shame if you gave up on it just because of what a few ignorant immature idiots are saying! As for if there is anything else you can do, I'd say just keep on going as you are you're doing fantastically! Good luck with the rest of the weight loss [ craazylau's advice column | Ask craazylau A Question ]

Keep on that diet, basically watch the calorie intake, cause you dont want to take in more calories then you can burn. And I know you've probably heard this and you dread it but EXERCISE! Not for too long, but start of like 10-15 minutes.. then work your way up.

jbdreamer answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:38 pm: I'd say 10 pounds in one month is a great achievement. Congratulations! On a healthy diet you should only loose about 2 pounds a week; so you are doing good. Loosing weight takes time and discipline. So be patient.
It's very sad that people are making fun of your weight. Don't take them to heart, they most likely have low self esteems and say those things to feel better about themselves. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:35 pm: dont speed it up! it will end up backfiring and youll gain it all back. its a gradual process...if you go to quickly, youll end it quickly and just hate having to go through it again. good job on losing 10 pounds! the first 5 are the hardest from what i hear...dont let other people put you down. you have a right to change yourself for the better. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
