Why doesn't she see what she is doing to her friends?

Question Posted Monday April 18 2005, 1:27 pm

I go to a drama school every week, once a week, and I have lots of friends there, both boys and girls. Some of my best friends are a boy called *Sam* and a girl called *Lisa*. When it was Lisa's birthday, we all went to the cinema. Sam came too. When Sam left later, we all agreed that it was obvious he fancied Lisa. I was a little disapointed as I used like Sam, and I suppose I still like him a little. The next week, somebody brought in a box of chocolates for Lisa and she let us all dip in. When I reached over, she gave me a look that told me to 'get lost'. But that next second, Sam reached over and took about 3 chocolates. When I asked could I have one, Lisa said no. Then a few weeks later at the performance, backstage we had a real argument in which she said I liked another boy at drama. I denied it as I don't like him. I told Lisa that 'you could talk - you think the world revolves around Sam!' and she went and told everyone to get them on her side. I can say something the exact as what she says, but I'm the one who gets in trouble for it!! I know two wrongs don't make a right, but you know how it goes. We are friends again now, but I'm not sure if we were as good with each other as we were. 14/f.

Additional info, added Tuesday April 19 2005, 4:04 pm:
Also when Sam found out I liked him a year ago, I was 13, nearly 14. He is 15. Lisa has only just turned 13. He said I was too young for him when I was 13 and he was 14, but seems interested in Lisa now she is only just 13. It seems like contradiction to me ....

Stay away from Sam because she obviously doesnt like when someone messes with the guys she likes. If you guys are cool now then dont try to do anything that will get her mad. You can still talk to Sam but dont flirt with him when shes there and stuff. x0

In this type of situation, there's nothing you can really do but have a good honest chat with Lisa. She might not realize how she's acting. If the two want to go out with each other, you can't stop them.

Well, your friend is very possesive when it comes to guys. If she and Sam like each other, don't hold them back. Find someone who likes you too, and then you two could double date! You are probably not as good of friends as before, but try to build a stronger relationship with her. It was wrong of her to ask others to take sides(i would have picked yours) but teens can be cruel. Tell me what happens!
