You take the tampon, shove it up you're vagina.. and you're done.. change it every 10-15 minutes..and they come every 13 days.. for about 5 days at a time..

You insert it in your vaginal hole (the second hole) and you change it every 2-5 hours, depending on your flow. Every girl's period is the same but when you start your period, it will be irregular, meaning you don't know when it will come and how long it will last. Periods usually last from 2-8 days and they come every 28 days. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

There is an instruction leaflet which shows really clearly how they work. Tampons certainly do not hurt although there is a possibility of a tiny bit of pain the very first time you use them if your hymen (the piece of skin covering the opening to your vagina) has not been broken by everyday life. Tampons should be changed every 4-8 hours and periods can last anytime between 3 and 7 days, it varies person to person. Periods occur once every month although again this varies person to person but only varies by a few days. Hope this helps! [ craazylau's advice column | Ask craazylau A Question ]
SimplyMe answered Monday April 18 2005, 6:43 am: A period lasts about 3-5 days usually, sometimes longer for beginners.. Its occurs every 26 days, but once again thats when your period is regular.. when it starts coming it usually is irregular,
If I were you, I wouldnt worry about it until it actually comes, which is usually over night..most of the time.. No it doesnt hurt.. you should probaly change it every couple hours... I wouldnt worry about it, before you go swimming just check it.. if you're clear, then you are fine..and where to insert it, just read the box..it explains how and all..
