LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday April 12 2005, 3:37 pm: 5'5 130 lbs isnt bad! you prolly still have some baby fat. theres not much you can do about it. i have a bunch on my upper back and it sucks! you can try doing crunches, sit ups and leg lifts. start out with a few and gradually add more. much love <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

Sophie_xxx answered Tuesday April 12 2005, 3:04 pm: Firstly, 130 pounds really ISN'T overweight for your height, honest! But here's a few tips on losing what you want to anyway. Maybe not all of them will be good for you, but you can give them a try:
*Never eat two hours before going to bed
*For flattening out your stomach, sit ups and crunches are the best-they actually do work!
*I know it sounds obvious, but try an cut out any excess chocolate, sweets, crisps and fizzy stuff. You'll appreciate it in the long run!
*For a faster metabolism (or whatever you call it, lmao!) eat five small meals a day instead of three big ones every other day. This will burn off the food faster!
*Try to cut out on any snacks-if you really want a bar of chocolate or whatever then eat it after a meal cause it digests quicker.
Good luck and I hope I helped!

You probably aren't, I recently turned 15, 2 weeks ago and I am like 145..with some fat as well..yet I am only 5'3. It's most likely your baby fat. I have seen girls who are more then 150 and they are shorter...I have tried to get a flat stomach as well..and for me it's slowly going it..not really but a little every few months..it can just be your muscles (sp?) as well...you may seem like your fat but it can just be that instead..try running up hill and doing 25-50 sit-ups a day, and by summer you should look good.
vermillion26 answered Tuesday April 12 2005, 12:29 pm: you probably dont look as chubby as you think you do. it might just be baby fat, if you are really concerned about your wieght then you should exercise (chrunches, situps, cardio activities, etc.) and eat healthy. remember that you dont have to have the same wieght as everyone else, maybe thats just the way you are and just cause your family is skinny doesnt neccisarily mean you will be. also 130 isnt overweight, its about normal for your age and height. if you really feel you are to fat talk to your doctor or family about
sk8trash answered Tuesday April 12 2005, 8:10 am: Ya i think that that is still your baby fat. Im 13 and i have a little fat too but it doesnt realy matter. If you really want to change your weight you need to work out every night just by doing simple crunches and sit-ups. EVERY night. You can't depend on genetics to be skinny. You've got to eat healthy, too. I know people think that eating an apple a day is healthy, but eating healthy is a lot more than that. You've got to eat healthy every meal. For breakfast, try to find a low calorie cereal with less sugar, like Fruitloops. Bring your lunch to school and make sure you have a simple sandwich, but always pack a vegetable and/or fruit. At dinner, make sure there is always a vegetable to eat. Trust me, it makes all the difference.
