well if your best friend dumped you for her bf, then i dont think that she is much of a friend. As for the lyrics and quotes...There's this song that's called 'since u been gone' by kelly clarkson. i really like it and i think that the lyrics kinda relate to what you are talking about. Here is part of the song:
