Voice-Acting Woes My friend made a Flash movie and I am doing the voice acting for one of the characters. The character has one line, which has to be said very quickly, loudly and forcefully. Every time I say this line into my microphone and listen to it there is a little static "explosion" on the hard consonants. Short of getting a new microphone, what can I do to lessen this?

If you have recording software, see if it has any sort of filters. After it's recorded, you should be able to filter out the static. ]
Have you tried holding the microphone slightly to the side? If you hold it out of the path of your mouth, over by your cheek but still close to your mouth, it might reduce or eliminate that loud sound. ]
My guess is to sit further away from the mic. Thats always been a problem for me and normally when i get back away from the mic it dosnt have the big "static explosion" ]
Does you mic have one of those foam cover things over it? That could help. I don't know what they are called. ]
What you need is a popscreen in front of the mic to break the wind caused from your speech. You could probably rig a makeshift screen. This is a company that sells them. www.popfilter.com It should give you some ideas or at least a start in what you're looking for. Good Luck! ]
Don't put the microphone too close to your mouth.
Make sure the volume of your microphone isn't too high.
(Volume Control > Options > Properties > Choose "Recording", press "OK" > You should see a slider that allows you to adjust the volume) ]
