shianne answered Monday March 21 2005, 6:39 pm: hello,..it is best to have a papsmear done after you become sexually active. however if you feel that you need to see one sooner it is up to you. it is not required to see a gyno if youve just been fooling around but there are many diseases and a gynecoligist can correctly explain diagnose or treat them! its up to you...talk to ur doc...
good luck!

A pap smear mainly checks women for cancer cells on the cervix. It is usually done when you have a yearly gyn exam.Which you should get every year once you become sexually active.
Getting fingered is not really sexually active. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
Deanimal answered Sunday March 20 2005, 11:40 pm: It's not necessary, but it wouldn't hurt. If you do, tell your gyno what happened (not detailedly or anything) Trust me, she's heard EVERYTHING. You can get your mom to leave of you want, and she won't say anything.
You should get a pap after the first time you have sex, or when you are eighteen, whichever comes first.
