Prom Tuxs
My bf and i are going to 2 proms this year and we're not sure if he should buy or rent a tux for them. What do you think would be cheaper. All he wants is a basic Black Tux with nothing fancy and also besides Mr. Tux and Steping out Formal where can he rent them and where can he buy one. thanks and sry if that is confusing

I've seen commericals for the Men's Wearhouse, I believe $50 for a rental, and if you rent 4, [I think this is for a wedding tho, they might make an exception] you get one free of cost, so maybe your bf and 3 of his friends can go. I'd def recommend him renting one, unless he plans to use the tux more than twice.

it is cheaper to rent honestly. a tux can cost up to a thousand dollars for a good one. just rent one for now, and if he likes it that much, he can buy it.

not confusing. well if you need a tux for more than 1 occasion then buy one. it could also come in handy in the future. im not so sure wear to buy one tho

If it both of you Juniors then he should rent a tux. It is cheaper and he is still growing probably so he would never fit it again. If it is your senior year buy it, even though it is a little more expensive he can use it later on. My dad still fits his tux from his wedding which was a few years after his prom. Keep it and he will be able to use it for some other occassion. Have fun at prom!! It is so much fun!!

I don't know of the places you are talking about for tux rental so I can't comment on that part.
I do think that renting will still be the cheaper way to go. You might actually call around and ask for prices at a few places.Have fun at your prom and be safe.

rent it, it would be alot easier for him,guys and girls are differnt for proms,guys dont really need to wear tuxes or save them until their older and be like 'oh i wore this to my senior prom' but girls keep them. for guys if they need a tux they can just rent them. so rent one. xox

I think he should rent his tux. See, for a girl..their prom dress is very important because you buy it and save it for years and years. Or something. But for a guy its different, they could care less about saving their tux from prom. So yeah rent it! I would say look around the yellow pagees for people that rent/sell tux's. Dont do it through the internet, to be on the safe side! Have fun at prom!
