I think youre friend is afraid of telling you if she has a eating disorder or maybe she doesn't realize that she has a eating order. Some girls our age like to watch their weight because some of them are concerned about getting fat or what they look like in the mirror. If she says no and if you know something is wrong support her in the best way possible so she will know that you are a caring and loving friend.

(are you syd?)

I have a friend who does a lot of the same things, and I've tried to ask her if she has an eating disorder, she denys it too, and I don't know what to do either. If you're not Syd then I say you should probably talk to the girl's parents, and if this is you Syd, IDK what to do. :-

this is a hard thing to experience but if she was really your friend she would tell you the truth. Plenty of people are just self consious about her weight. If you really think she really has a eating disorder TELL SOMEONE!!!
hope i helped !!!

Well try and speak to your friend about this and tell her what you are thinking. if she still denies it then it could just be nothing to worry about. Lots of people like to watch the way they eat. hope i have helped

She sounds like she's just obsessed with her weight. It's not that big a deal if she's watching what she eats. If what she eats is half a glass of water and an ice cube with a side of salt, then I would be worried. But if all she's doing is eating cautiously then it's no big deal. Who knows, maybe it's something her doctor told her to do.

Hey i think you should show her your there and then ask her about it and if shes your friend she may tell you.. I meen she may not because she doesnt want you to worry but then again she may.. and just try to help her... pay close atention to what she does and try to get her into some sports then she'll have to eat for energy and she'll loose weight to

TheTeenGirl answered Saturday March 12 2005, 4:37 pm:
Well, there could be a chance, so maybe you should talk to her more and tell her how concerned you are. Eating disorders are very dangerous, and if she still doesn't say anything, or tries to change the subject, talk to your mom, and maybe she will talk to hers.

She has low self estieme and You can help by saying shes not fat and shes pretty and that theres no need to do that.. But of course shes not going to tell you thats very personal.. IF that dosent help then you may tell her to go to a consuler or a trusted a adult..She really needs you right now and you can help her by doingg something so simple as in telling her shes not fat..

hope it all works out

hope helped....
