If anyone has Avant Browser(the pop up blocker) please help me. So, I just downloaded the new version. I tried to make my homepage www.msn.com but it didn't work. So I went to my internet options, and typed in www.msn.com for the homepage and clicked OK. Well its still not working, and the homepage now is about:blank and some weird website shows up. How do I get rid of this?

Yea that damn thing is on my computer too. Is it like a Search engine with all these listed links? If so, I think it's a spyware/adware program called Search Assistant. I've tried removing it from my computer but it's impossible! My best advice is to look in computer techie forums and see if there is any possible way to remove it from your computer. I found one way to remove it from this one website, but it failed so I wouldn't recommend.
I'm sorry I didn't offer any real advice on how to remove it, but at least now you know what it is!

Anyways. WHAT weird website shows up? It might be a browser hijacker, although when I had the DNS browser hijacker thinger, it never affected Avant Browser. Try using Norton Antivirus, you can go get a free trial. [ Cookeh's advice column | Ask Cookeh A Question ]
