It could help you later. To get rid of curls, there are solutions you can find in stores that will semi-permanately straighten your hair. They're kind of expensive though. My older sister just buys a regular perm solution, puts it in, and brushes her hair straight. It sets it straight, just like the straightening perm would do. Sometimes her hair still goes a little wavy, so she just straightens it further with a straightener. [ Mathew's advice column | Ask Mathew A Question ]
reach_for_the_stars_14 answered Thursday March 3 2005, 8:23 pm: ok well this wont make your hair stay curly forever but for the day or at least until you take a shower, this is what i use it is a Revlon strightener, i think that you can get it at Target and to make your hair really straight take a big clip and put most of your hair in it and do that layer and then take down a layer and so on until your done. i hope this helps.

Farren answered Thursday March 3 2005, 7:37 pm: Go to a hair salon and get your hair relaxed. That works for quite a while I believe, more than straightning irons and other commonly used methods anyways. I forgot exactly how long it lasts, but I think it was at least more than a month.

azngemini answered Thursday March 3 2005, 5:30 pm: I used to have like really curly and wavy hair, but then I went to a salon and got my hair straighten. getting it professionally done is better than doin it yourself because professionals know a lot more about hair, so they'll do a better job and you wont get burned as much. but it costs A LOT more than if you do it yourself. if you go to a salon to do it, you hair will stay straight for atleast 6 months but the whole straightenin process takes like atleast 5 or 6 hours
it's called the Japanese Straight Hair Perm, or something like that.
I already did it twice, and I might do it again soon, soo if you have any questions about this, I'll be glad to help :) [ azngemini's advice column | Ask azngemini A Question ]
Karen answered Thursday March 3 2005, 5:22 pm: To straigten your hair and keep it straigtened, you can get it Japenese or chemically straightened. Getting your hair Japenese straightened will keep your hair straight and when you can see your roots, then you just get it done again. You could also get a flat iron or a CHI and it will keep your hair straightened if you don't wet it.
