It's normal for your vaginal discharge to be really heavy and this is because when you are sick, everything about your body changes and your discharge is heavy. Usually, this doesn't happen but it does and if it's still heavy, try talking to a gynecologist (gyno) and you can find out why you are having heavy discharge. If you had your period two weeks ago, then this is probably the reason, even though you said it's not but it may be.

Having a cold can affect your entire body to a point, having excessive discharge is not usually one of them. The following information is taken from WebMD:

A woman's vagina normally produces a discharge that usually is described as clear or slightly cloudy, non-irritating, and odor-free. During the normal menstrual cycle, the amount and consistency of discharge can vary. At one time of the month there may be a small amount of a very thin or watery discharge; and at another time, a more extensive thicker discharge may appear. All of these descriptions could be considered normal. A vaginal discharge that has an odor or that is irritating usually is considered an abnormal discharge. The irritation might be itching or burning, or both. The itching may be present at any time of the day, but it often is most bothersome at night. These symptoms often are made worse by sexual intercourse. It is important to see your doctor if there has been a change in the amount, color, or smell of the discharge.

If you have any of the negative symptoms listed above you most likely have a infection of some sort. If the excessive discharge continues consult your OBGYN or regular medical doctor. Most of these types of infections are easily treated and clear up in a week or so.

I'm sorry to say that I really honestly do not have an answer for your question. :( You having a cold could have something to do with it, but I have never heard of those kind of symptons before. You should ask you mom, friend, or another close relative of yours. Either way you should definately go to a gynocologist to make sure nothing is wrong. Get ummm better I guess ;> !

When you're sick, everything in your body is affected. It's possible the two are related. If it stays like that after the cold goes away go see a gynocologist.
