Question Posted Friday February 25 2005, 5:12 pm

OK...my best friend EVER is moving to Australia, the total other side of the world!! :'(
I want to give her a really great, unique send off. She is leaving in three weeks, and I want to get her a great present and throw a great party she'll always remember!! I don't want to burn a CD because she does loads of those herself, and I don't want an ordinary boring party. Anyone got any great ideas for a really unique send-off?

Hmm maybe get you and 2 or 3 others who could help you with the cost. Maybe rent out a firehouse or throw it at someone's house if possible. Invite a bunch of people..have a bunch of food..music..and your set! Maybe ask if every guest brings a small present...or something she can have as a memory. Maybe have everyone cut out a picture of them and put it on a huge poster..have them sign it! She'll love it. You could put together a "book of memories" which includes pictures, inside jokes, and paragraphs people can write about like "hey remember the time we..." Sending her with a videotape is a cool idea. Maybe you guys can make a video tape that will let her remember her town and friends and school. Im sure she'll love it..but get planning now! :) If you find that its too last minute and you cant throw a real party..have a bunch of people go to the mall or have a sleepover with close friends and exchange memory presents there. My suggestion is..no matter what..before she leaves..have at least one more sleepover you'll never forget. Stay up all night..the whole 9 yards

For a unique party.. You could invite her and a group of friends to a concert, or you could all go do something weird and crazy that you've always wanted to do.. I don't know exactly.. Just do something you know she'd love to do!! And then for a present.. I think you should make a scrapbook of all the times you've spent together and all your memories and write stuff in it and stuff - that way she'll never forget! I hope I gave you some ideas!

Well, you could try a pool party with all of your friends, and have her bring you and hers' favorite music. And maybe at the end try making it calm, like go through all of your best memories, and share them, and make unbelievable confessions you've never told each other. And have you and a couple of friends make a poem and put it in one of those huge cards and have your group read it aloud together to her. And, you can even watch home videos if you have any of you and her when you guys were little, or younger, and look at pictures. And maybe to make it unique like you want, do something crazy that you've both never done before, something so insane she'll never forget it. Something like, getting a muddy part of your backyard all soaked up and just jump in it, and get as muddy as you can. My friends, one time did something crazy, we had an icing fight, we threw globs of icing at each others faces and hair. And you could try shaving cream fights to, food fights (outside, lol.) But yeah, thats what I can come up with, something crazy is something that will never be forgotten.

I am not really sure about a unique send off. FOr a present though, give her a picture, I know it sounds ordinary, But give her a picture of yourself and her standing together and put it in a nice frame She will love it. I gurantee it.
