quit playing games with my heart

Question Posted Tuesday February 22 2005, 3:11 pm

ok...over the summer I talked to this guy who was a year older than me like every night for hours. I liked him alot, looking back more that I thought. Anyway, when we started going to school together, it got really weird, and about tow months into the school year he got a girlfriend and would rub it in my face. He told his friends he just wanted me because "you're hot and are gona be really really hot when you're older." Needless to say, we don't talk anymore. Now, one of his REALLY cute best friends is IMing me, and I'm scared. I don't wanna get hurt again, but gosh this guys seems cool. What should I do about both guys?

First of, get rid of the guy you first met. Think of his friend as a new beginning. Dont just talk to him online and never at school. If he really wants to be your friend you cant ignore eachother at school. Dont let him break your heart. Take it slow and tell him right out are you just doinf this because "i`m hot and i`ll be cute when I get older?"

I know how you feel. You get hurt and then you don't want to get attached and then get hurt again. That's what you have to do. Don't let yourself get attached. Keep convincing yourself that you don't like this dude. The more you do that the more he'll probably begin to like you. But just don't stay attached for now. Set your mind on other things, like school, extracurricular activies, and your friends.
-Hope I helped!-

I think you should totally forget about that guy that broke your heart. You don't need someone like that in your life, especially when all he likes in you is your looks. I think you should give this new guy a chance. Just because he's friends with your old crush, doesn't mean he's the same. Take things slow at first and see where it goes from there!
