non religous wedding Every time I'm at a wedding or see a wedding on t.v., it's always a religous wedding.
So my question is, what happens at a no religous wedding?
Thanks.

Well guess you have to get married some way..and you kinda have to do it in some religous way..cause they read out of some sort of bible in like every wedding no matter the religion.. so i guess you'd have to choose what you believe in and have a wedding with that sort of setting..much luv dez ]
most non religious weddings, to my knowledge, are just at a courthouse, but i'm sure you can have some kind of ceremony just at the beach or at someone's house without a priest or anything where you make up your own things to say to each other & exchange rings and that .. but i still don't know how "non-religious" it is, because, well yeah, weddings are generally a religious thing. sorry i couldn't help more.
here's a site on secular [ non-religious ] weddings: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
At a non-religious wedding they dont have the same vows, and they arent given by a preacher or a priest.besides that its pretty much the same.

well the vows are supposed to be religious and you have to do those but the only difference really is the setting like it will be outside or some other place ... vegas? lol but yeah you really cant have a non religous one because it is, what you could say a religous thing

Most non-religios weddings take place in a registrar's office and are called civil ceremonies. They are exactly the same as a Christian wedding but without the 'taking your vows before God' stuff. It's a lot more formal and boring, to be perfectly honest...
Some non-religious weddings are beautiful though, and can take place in a hotel, on the beach, stuff like that...couples are also more likely to be able to write their own vows.
They still exchange rings and sign the marriage contract, and can still have bridesmaids and page boys, but they don't walk up any kind of aisle. Two witnesses are required at a civil ceremony.
Hope that helped!!

A non-religious weddings, usually called a secular wedding, is like other weddings. You can basically make the wedding your own. You can say vows, without bringing any religion into them (vows that are more personal), exchange rings if you want...ect. Some people who chose a secular wedding are spiritual rather then religious, atheist, or agnostic and homosexuals, wherever same-sex marriage is allowed. ]
