shaving my legss

Question Posted Monday February 14 2005, 8:37 pm

every time i shave my legs, its like they dont shave. il go over them with a new blade and still when i feel them, theres like..stubble, when its like the second i get done after shaving! i tried altering the pressure i put when im pressing down and gliding teh blade but that doesnt seem to help either. i use shaving cream and ive tried many different kinds, and ive also tried baby oil, water (alone), and body wash and it still seems like my legs arent...Shaved! and then i end up getting razor burn anyways!! does anyone have any ideas what this is and why?!

I had that problem when I started shaving, too. If you think about it, it is because this hair has been on your legs since day 1 and is still fine-ish. After the first few times, it will be 'used to being shaved' though. LOL. ANyway, the only thing that worked for me is using Skintimate shaving cream (I use it every single time) and a disposable rasor (try the Bic's.). It leaves your legs smooth and hairless for about 3 days, and the hair won't need to be shaved for about a week (but will grow back quicker over time). After you finish, always put on lotion so your legs don't dry up. Hope I helped! Please rate me!

I would try a new razor.and to get rid of the razor burns .. just mkae sure you always put lotion on after you shave. And dont press down so hard on your razor because you may be getting more because of it .. also make sure your hold it right.. and the brand you use could also be the cause.

Make sure you are using a good quality razor, especially if you been getting razor burn. And make sure to get it wet before you shave, and rinse it often. Use a shaving cream, not a gel. And don't use body wash or soap! That will make the razor burn worse. Take you time, and go over the same spot a few times until it is smooth. I also use a lotion every morning that is specifically used to soften your leg hairs. I can't recall the name, but I got it Target in the lotion isle. I am sure you can find it.

Alter the angle you hold the razor at. The handle should be between a 45 and 80 degree angle from your leg if you use the cheap disposable razors. The blades should glide over your skin easily.

Also, it's important to keep any part of your body that you shave moisturized.

If you really can't get it to work, there are electric "razors" that actually pull the hair out (instead of cutting it). I can't stand them, but my cousins love them.

If you can't shave your legs, what other ways can you get rid of the hair? Maybe you can use Nair or something like that if razors don't work. You could also try using an electric razor. Also, Don't expect your legs to be perfectly smooth. I hope I was helpful! Good luck! Please rate; I'm new!

Try a new type of razor, venus devine works really good if you have tried that try other razors but not those cheap ones at walmart the good kinds, that cost a lil bit more money
