is it jealousy
i was really good friends with this sophomore named ryan (im a freshman) and we have started talking since the summer. the guy im dating now (kyle) and my friend ryan are best friends. well at least they were. ever since me and kyle have been dating ryan's been a real dick to kyle and telling him that i've been cheating on him n im using (and IM NOT). and ryan keeps telling me that he loves me and that he really cares about me. and just recently he told me that he really likes me. is this just an act of jealousy or does he just want me to go out with him?

Sounds to me like he is very jealous of Kyle. Think about this: If he is acting this way to his best friend, then how will he treat you if he gets angry at you, or if you two break up? Tell him to back off, and that he needs to understand that the world does not revolve around him. If you still want to be friends with him, then tell Ryan that he needs to get off the subject of you dating someone else, and that telling you lies is just making your friendship worse, and that you don't want to date someone who acts like a jerk.

Honestly it could be either. He could be jealous that his best friend is dating someone and hes not. Or he could actually love you and want to be with you. The only real way to find out the truth would be to confront him and ask him what it is. GOOD LUCK!!

hmm kinda tricky. i mean Ryan might really like you, but he might just want you and his friend(kyle) to break up for some reason. or maybe he likes you so thats why he wants yall to break up. idk its hard to say. just try to figure out if he is being sincere when he is telling you he likes you. <3<3

I think that it's both. Ryan doesn't sound like a very nice person at all, and you should probably try avoiding him as much as possible. He most likely had a crush on you before and when you started dating Kyle, Ryan probably felt betrayed and is trying to break you two up for revenge.

well it could be eather. he might really like you and want to go out with him and thats why he was saying all that to kyle. or he might be jelous because he doesnt have a g/f like you or something. i think it might be jelousy! x0
