most places requires you to take a snowmobiler safety course. you have to be the age of 10 to take it. when you complete and pass a written test, they issue to you a little card that says you have completed the course and are eligable to drive a snowmobile. i have had mine for almost 7 years. the class can be sorta of a bore, but you can breeze right through it. everything is mostly common sense. so the test is extremely easy. if you have any more questions about anything dealing with snowmobiling, ask me. just drop one by my invox and ill get back to asap.

Well, where I live, you do need a license for snowmobiling. It depends on where you live. In most places, you don't need them but in other places, you do. Hope I helped :)

It depends on where you live... In michigan you don't have to have one (I'm pretty sure) except sometiems you're required to take a snowmobile safety course. Me and my boyfriend go riding all the time and I don't have a license and all he has is a paper that says he took the course. ONE thing I know for sure is that you have to have your snowmobile registered. You could try searching Yahoo! for example if you live in Indiana... you could type in Snowmobile laws Indiana or w/e Good luck! hope I helped!

You dont unless you're only riding on a private property. If its on a road, its illegal. Just make sure you do all your riding in the yard!
