I'm assuming you're in high school and the only problem may be is if you write a song that is very personal- it may get people talking about what your song was about and who it is about.
I know that sounds stupid, but people really try to analyze the hell out of personal things like that. (for example in high school- i wrote a lot of dark poetry and stuff about life and death- they later thought that maybe I was suicidal. Geez).
However, if you think that you want to write a song for your significant other and such, then it'd be cool. Go for it.
