Shelbyjune answered Sunday January 23 2005, 3:29 pm: Babysitting is the easiest answer, especially if you are underage to get a regular job and you didn't mention your age. However, there are other ways to help your frizzy hair. Look at the other advices on down the line, they have excellent ideas. Ceramic hair straigteners and/or 1-1/2" curling irons (2" ones are good, too); the product Frizzease is excellent. You are probably washing the moisture out of your hair, along with the fact that you may have naturally curly hair. Try a hot oil treatment, or a deep moisture treatment -- check beauty supply stores for options. Or raid your refrigerator for mayo and egg. And check the internet -- they often can help you in ways no hairdresser could. Good luck! [ Shelbyjune's advice column | Ask Shelbyjune A Question ]

An easier way may be to ask your parents for an allowance. So you could help around the house to earn some money. But if you are aiming to buy those really good straighteners, it may take a while to get enough cash for that. But maybe for now you can look into shampoos and conditioners that help with that. There is a whole line of de-frizzing hair products, it's called Frizz-ease. There is a shampoo and conditioner, and a whole bunch of stuff that makes your hair not frizzy. It is a bit more costly than regular shampoos and hair products but it's still cheaper than the straightener. Hope I helped! ~Princezpeach~ ;) [ PrincezPeach08's advice column | Ask PrincezPeach08 A Question ]
lorelei answered Sunday January 23 2005, 12:50 pm: You can get a good ceramic straightener for about $40 dollars online, you know.
You can try rinsing your hair in REALLY cold water after you shampoo. And as a deep conditioner, mix one egg to one part mayo and one part olive oil. Make a thick paste, apply it to your hair and wrap it in a towel or put a plastic cap on for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse and shampoo it out. It should help a lot.
If you'd like some more suggestions, please feel free to ask.
