well i have like this guy almost about a year and i think he knows all ready. well my friend has him for 6th period and he talks to him for me and its cool but the thing is that i am shy and yesterday my frined ask him if he had a g/f and he said no and then he ask him what will he say if i ask him out and he said i don't know and yesterday i wrote hom a letter and in the letter i ask him out and today i didn't go to school and i was wondering should i give him the letter!?

That would really be a good idea, especially since you're shy. That way, you could write whatever you feel, and it's nothing like freezing up if you tried to talk to him face to face. Go for it girl! Good luck!

Yes give him the letter! Whats there to lose? You might be suprised as to what he'll say. But I think insdead of asking him out..be like "We should hang out sometimes-as friends" just so you can get to know eachother better...and then, if you click..you can go out!
