School dance.............

Question Posted Friday January 14 2005, 4:13 pm

ok.....there is a school dance coming up and I really wanna go sooooo bad!!!!!!!!I totally skipped the last dance because i had a track meet to go to. i want to go to this one but i have almost no friends, so if i go, it will be really awkward because i dont have a whole crowd around me. I'm in 7th grade, and most of my friends are 9th grade boys, but they dont usually go to the dances. and i thought about bringing my stepsister but I know she'll get all the attention from the boys because shes in 11th grade and she dances like shes all that just because she got a fatty and a big chest size-----and she always rubs it in my face.(not literally) What should I do??????

Go to the dance and get your groove on! If you want to go to the dance then go! You don't need a BIG group...dancing is dancing. If your step sister goes, it doesn't automatically mean that you won't get attention. I have a feeling that you are a shy type of person so if you want some more attention, just try to break out of that shell that you might be in, and you will be surprised at how much confidence you will gain. Remember - A dance is a dance So go have some fun! I hope I helped.

Well, honey, it's your time to shine. You can go to the dance and make new friends. :) Just start a conversation with someone, and don't forget to be yourself. You can also dance like YOU are all that and a bag of chips! Have some self-confidence and don't be afraid to get crazy and shake it, and more importantly have fun! Buy a new outfit, something attention grabbing, to wear at the dance!
*Hope I helped!*

Forget your face-rubbing stepsister. Just go and enjoy yourself, talk to people and if you truly feel you don't like it, leave.Oh,when I was in the 7th, we had a dance. I was kinda like that. You will more than likely find someone who's just like you.. alone and lonely. they'll be happy to talk!

Well ask some of your 7th grade girls... evem if its only like 2 or 3. Just go and enjoy the fun. Your only in 7th grade once. (unless u have to repeat a grade, which rairly happens.)
hope you have fun if u do go!
