Stomach aches

Question Posted Wednesday January 12 2005, 1:32 pm

I don't know why, but my stomach always hurts. It hurts at LEAST once a week. And it's not cramps, it's just like a stomach ache. But I get them all the time! I hate it, and I don't know what to do. The other day I got one in school and I had to go to my next class and I was afraid I'd get sick. I mean, I never do, but it feels like it. Does anybody know what this is, and what I can do?

i think you should tell your parents and have them take you to the doctor immediately just incase if it is something serious...try to remember how long these pains have gone on so the doctor knows what you have or what you don't have

I used to feel like that. It was just worries of mine and problems that i had and i let it get to me. I just took tums that helps alot. Take the flavored kind. They are better then the boring ones anyways. Just lay down for a hour before you would usually go to bed and make sure you bed is comfortable and all your clutter is off-trix

Advice from others: Go see a doctor. Also, it sounds like a stress situation. You could have the makings of an ulcer, which is often stress-related. This can be helped with medication, but you should also talk with a counsellor, so your mom is really necessary at this point, too. Do you keep your emotions bottled up inside and not tell people how you are feeling about something? Your mom, believe it or not, can be very helpful. Parents are more understanding than we give them credit. They've been through a lot more than we'll ever know -- ask her/them.
Seriously, though. Talk with your mom. Ask her to take you to a doctor -- or a counsellor -- or both. Hope I helped.

it COULD be gas pains, like gas built up or whatever. i suggest drinking alot of water to clear you up. if you have diarreah or vomiting, then you could have a virus, but if its just sharp pains, then eat healty and drink water!

This happens to me everyday. I don't eat breakfast on school days and I have been doing that since 5th grade and now I'm in the 8th grade. Do you eat breakfast? Well if you don't, this may be the reason why you are getting stomach aches. I don't know what you could do because mine just lasts for a while and I just relax and not think of it. It's just a stomach ache. Just go to your doctor and tell him or her about this. Hope I helped :)
