Volleyball Well im 15 years old and im playing on the high school volleyball team!. im a fairly strong player but i wanna become better! do you know of any exercises i can do to improve my verticle leap and my spike! just a little tip: try jump ropeing and lifting wieghts for your shoulders and arms

For the Vertical Leap.. Find a really high bar.. one that you can stand on your tip-toes and there be at least 2 ft. from the top of your hand to the bar.. and when your working out.. jump straight up in the air and hit the bar.. and keep doing that.. and when you can hit the bar with no problem.. raise the height.. and for the spikes.. i wouldn't be able to tell you anything about that.. cuz i need help with them

Some exercises to do are to lift weights to get your arm stronger and just keep doing vertical leaps over and over again!!I think this will work!!!

Do what everyone does, PRACTICE!!! Grab a friend and head to a volleyball court. Practice the leap and spike. Or throw the ball up to yourself and spike it. And exercise also helpful is to do a vertical leap without a ball!! Good luck

Do lunges and squats! Those will really strengthen your legs. I did volleyball for a year and those exercises made my legs super strong for spiking and jumping! Also work on your abs and stomach area because that will help you as well. Crunches and sit ups!
Oh yah and if you go down to the beach and play volleyball or do drills then it will help because sand is much harder to play in!♥ ]
To improve your vertical leap do wall jumps. Just jump next to a wall and if if theres like tiles then try to reach one of the tile lines.. or just pick a spot on the wall and try to jump and get it... I'd suggest you do at least 40 a day. I'm doing that for volleyball right now and it's really helping me! As for spiking have somebody toss a ball in the air to you and then jump and spike it on the ground. Also if you do 25 or more pushups a day your arms will get stronger and you can spike harder. =c) Hope I helped! ]
im a club volleyball player and i've played for three years.. =) i know what u mean bc i want to improve too! what i do to learn how to hit the ball better.. i toss the ball against the wall as if i were serving it, and i act like im serving, but only against the wall. it really helped the speed on my serve, and i'd imagine it'd help for your attack also. if you want to jump higher, just jump rope everyday. or act like you're blocking up against the wall or something like that, i'm sure it will help. good luck =) .. if u need anymore help.. email me at x4_letter_liex@yahoo.com or im me at shad 0 w x5 ]
