Mine is minimal i am a BABY when it comes to pain, but it really isn't that horrible. I got over it right away and the only thing that you really have to deal with is soarness for a while. I just recently got the cleavage in my ear pierced and hostely it hurts worse then when i got my belly button pierced lol. And to take care of it the place where you'll get it pierced usually will give you something to clean it with, or a card with instructions as to take care of it. As long as you wash it with soap and water (Dial) daily it should decrease your chaces of infection! And um, yes i do think 13 is a little young, i waited until i was 16 to get mine done. But if its something that you really want then i would say go for it, i wanted mine done for 3 years before i got mine done. But if its something you just want becuse eveyone else has it then don't, its just a fad and it'll be gone eventually. I'm actually thinkin of taking mine out because so many people have them now that its almost becoming the style not to have one. The natural look is in again and being more conservative is becoming the new sexy! I know it may be hard to belive but trust me... it's true! To take care of it, if you get it done proffessionally then the person doing it will probably give you a special solution that you will need to clean it with everyday. If not, then just clean it with salt water. 13 is a little too young, I'm supposed to be 14 before I can get anything else pierced so I think around 14-15 is a good age. iluvshasta13 answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 10:38 pm: i think 13 is too young because a belly button is kind of like a nose (in the piercing situation), it might get a lot of infections and younger people (kinda like teens or tweens or something) don't usually know how to handle infections. also, belly buttons i would think would hurt a lot. i dunno though. heck, i dont even have my ears pierced yet! aNgeLxfOrEvEr answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 10:15 pm: I have never gotten my belly button pierced, but I know people who have. The said it hurt SO much. I think you do the same thing to take care of it as you would with a regular piercing, like cleaning it and twisting it, maybe? You can always go to a piercing place and just ask for information. You may have to bring your parent/guardian with you though, they don't allow 13 year olds sometimes. You might not even be allowed (by LAW) to get it pierced (sucks). Yes, I do think 13 is too young. Even though I am 13 also, I still think if I got mine pierced, I'd regret it. If I were you I'd wait until I was older..at LEAST 18. Hope this helped. For more info ask your parent or as I said, go to a piercing place nearby. Good luck ♥ [ aNgeLxfOrEvEr's advice column | Ask aNgeLxfOrEvEr A Question ]
