i have a boyfriend of 3 years but lately i have been talking to this other guy, who is 23. i am 17 years old. i really am starting to like this other guy and i feel as if i dont have strong feelings for my boyfriend anymore. i ended up having sex with the 24 year old..and we talked even after that. he says he cares about me and likes me and isnt messing with anyone else. he knows i have a boyfriend and has told me to choose before but i just changed the subject. i want to know your opinions on this.

first of all, i think it's pathetic that you had sex with the 23/24 year old while you were going out with your current boyfriend! i also think its pathetic that you had sex with him, when ya'll weren't even a couple. maybe he just wants your benefits? how do you know he truly cares about you when he had sex with you before having a true relationship? i say you break up with your current boyfriend, because he deserves better than that. and for you.. that's totally up to you if you want to stay with the 23/24 year old. if your heart tells you you really do like him, then go with him.

Not to be a party pooper here, but your relationship with the 24 year old isn't going to work. Sorry, but I have been in the guys shoes once and my best friend has been there no less than 3 times. And we got all sorts of advice from people warning us, but we never listend to them- so I don't expect you to listen to me. When you're older, a 7 year age differance is a surmountable obstical, but at your age, well... it simply isn't. In the last seven years that guy has gone through some serious changes in his life. right now you and he are compatable, but your life is about to hit a point where it goes through this rollercoster, and during it the relationship will inevetably fail. Don't mean to be such a downer, but that's reality.
