how to get over someone
i went out with my boyfriend for awhile, and we broke up on new years. it really sucks, because we're not gonna be together again because he doesn't want to hurt me. i have to respect that, considering he's thinking about me. but i dont know when ill be able to get over him! i would die if i saw him with another girl, and i see him in the hallways all the time, plus he's in my lunch hour. so what could i do to make me lose interest in this guy so i can move on? i rate high for good answers.. thanx

are you sure you really "want" to get over him.. i mean the fact that he doesnt want to get back together with him coz he doesnt want to hurt you means he still likes you.. if not loves you.. he cares about you.. and you obviously still like him.. so why dont you try and get together with him.. tell him its killing you without him.. coz you obviously dont want to move one.. and with such a great bond of love you seem to have... it seems like such a waste to destroy that.. i really think you should both get back together.. but thats my opinion..

It really does take time.Yeah ive been through this..it sucks and it hurts :( at least he moved away so I dont have to see him all over his new gf though. To get over him hang out with friends a LOT. They'll be willing to talk to you about what your feeling and they will be there for you also. By hangning out with friends you have tons of fun and eventually you'll begin forgetting about him until you get home. Think of the really good times and how your so lucky to be able to have had a great bf...not every girl has had a great bf. Try focusing on a different guy. Surely theres got to be a cute guy. I know your not going to fall for him right away but it will get your mind off him. Get into sports. your mind is gonna drift back to him for a long time, but soon it gets better and better until hes just a nice memory and the pain is almost gone....

I've been through this situation before and I'll tell u how i got over him. Right after we broke up I realized it was ALL b/c he didnt want to hurt me. He was afraid if he dumped me with any other reason he would hurt me and then wouldn't be friends. It helps when a guy pulls this act on you, but sometimes it means he just wants to break up, and sometimes its because hes afraid of doing something dumb to loose u as a friend. Just be nice and have fun with him still. He may not be your boyfriend, but just remember, he was thinking ALL about you!

Well, you can always try to keep your eyes open and wait for the moment! It's okay if you have an X-boyfriend.... you can always have many more and they might be better than your X. I'm sure you'll meet someone new soon. You can also do things fun with your friends like a movie or tubing.... it will keep your mind off your X and you'll be having a blast.

put your eyes on another guy. surely you have other guy friends that you find attractive or you loving being with them. show your ex that you have moved on and forget about him. this may sound easy but it's gonna take awhile so don't expect to suddenly not be interested. you are still recovering from a heartbreak just ry to set your eyes on another guy. good luck!
