Donald answered Monday January 3 2005, 10:47 pm: Shave your legs. I know it sounds kinda dumb, but trust me, I'm in track I shave my legs, and other thing, find a hill and run up it as fast as you can at least three days a week... That also works too... And find a field and jog around as much as you can and while runnin', bring a CD Player and pick a musix that will relax you so you keep on runnin'...

EasyCheeZe4 answered Sunday January 2 2005, 12:31 pm: First things first. You dont get huge muscles in your legs from one season of track and feild (or cross country), you would have to do off season training and such to get that.
Anyway heres my advice. Dont do sprints. Do distance man. This may be a little bit bias (since im a distance runner) but running long and steady will get your legs leaner and not as bulky as say a sprinter would have.
So next year when you get around to doing track, I would stick with the events 800 and up, 400 maybe. So if you dont want huge bulky muscles on your legs..go further..and take that literally. [ EasyCheeZe4's advice column | Ask EasyCheeZe4 A Question ]
lipsRHoT2kissU2's answered Sunday January 2 2005, 12:18 pm: You should probally do a pattern so you can jog at one time which can keep your weight steady and you can run at another time which could make you bones stronger or you can walk at some times if you are really tired out. I hope I helped! [ lipsRHoT2kissU2's's advice column | Ask lipsRHoT2kissU2's A Question ]
sparklethenfade answered Sunday January 2 2005, 12:12 pm: Try to go for a run, don't think miles, think time. Start off with a run for 5 minutes, and gradually increase the time, you will be in running shape in no time. But you also what to think distance, because Cross country is distance. So start with a mile, and increase. Hope this helps. -Kelly [ sparklethenfade's advice column | Ask sparklethenfade A Question ]
Karen answered Sunday January 2 2005, 11:25 am: Try running more so your legs can get used to the running. You can also do some leg exercises but like you said, you don't want them to have muscle. Well the only thing you can do is jsut to run. Hope I helped :)
