music and whatever
well, at my school rap is reallllly gay. Everyone is punk or emo which i think is gay. If i tell them that they all hate me and get mad **my friends++ and if i say i like rap they think im a freak. What do I do? Please donttell me to not care about what they think...because i do.

I like anime. No one does at my school but one or two totally ourkasts. sorry if thats mean but they are. And, no one knows i like anime, but i want to put anime layouts etc on xanga, notebooks, and just draw it. What do i do?/

Everyone has their own prefrance as to what genre of music they prefer. Some like rap (which I hate) Some like emo (which I hate as well) and some like punk (which I hate). Everyone likes different kinds of music. I know you said not to care what people think but really... why would you get mad if someone called you a freak because of the type of music you listen to? I'm not going to call a person a freak for listening to rap. I don't particularly like that genre of music but I'm not going to be an asshole to someone because they like it. They're just being immature and they think that their way is the right way and don't give a crap about anyone else's way. And if you're friends are calling you a freak because of the music you're listening to... they're really not your friends now are they?

well, unfortunately, you can't like both rap and anime, that's like, unheard of. Your friends may hate you for it, but it's basically, be happy with how things are, or make yourself happy and don't pay attention to what they think. Both are pretty hard, but we're not magicians, we just give advice, hope i helped though. Good luck. -Angel

Do what you feel confterble (sp?) with. It's ok to care about what your friends think everyonce and a while but not when it comes down to what type of music you like to listen to or if you like anime or not. If they can't except you for who you are and what you like then they aren't great friends.

I'm pretty sure your friends won't care if you like anime or not, just as long as they don't think "anime = pokemon". As for music and anime, online friends! Online friends are cool, I'm sure you could find someone to talk to, maybe even here on advicenators.
Anime -is- awesome, lots of people like it at my school, -lots- of people, so don't feel like an outcast for liking it. Now about the rap...my personal opinion is rock is better, but hey, I'm sure there's -someone- you can meet who likes rap, even if it's someone online.

ok no offense or anything but U really shouldn't care what they think! YOur an original thats how god wanted you to be soo don't change for anyone!!! but wat im trying to say is that if thats wat you like then thats wat you like! and if your friends start to hate you because of your favorite type of music then that's pretty gay and there not ur real friends!! I like all kinds of music and people think that some of the music i listen to is pretty gay but i don't care! seriously if thats wat you like thats wat you like! and the whole anime thing do what you want just because these *outkasts* like anime doesn't make you an outkast! hope i helped
