my best friend needs help!
Okay last night my best friend dylan called me up and we started talking. He told me that his mom wants to put him in rehab bc she found an empty bottle of tekila in his bedroom and the night she found it, he came home drunk. He and I dont see eachother or talk as much as we used to but I know that he smoked weed and drinks. I just dont kno how much he does it. He really worrys me when he tells me things like this and I think that he needs to get checked into rehab or go to a clinic or something. I really am worried about him and IDK how to confront him about what he is doing. I love him and want to help him out, what do I do?

kids will be kids.. you would rather having your friend being a screw up than when hes older, right? and hes trying out new things, this is what happens during our time. teenagers try out new things. x0

One thing that you need to do is make sure that he doesn't influence you into trying drugs or drinking. You might want to start by telling him that you're worried about him and that you want to help him get help for his problems. If possible try talking to his mother and telling her that you want to help in any way you can as long as it means helping him.I hope that I have been some help to you.

Well if i were you i would just talk to him about it because i know hes not happy about doing drugs .. NO ONE that does drugs is happy with it! and you just need to tell him your worried about him and his habits with drugs! Just let him know that you dont like his habits and he needs to stop or he could get into deep deep trouble later in life .. and if he plays sports or does anything athletic .. its going to screw up his future plans for life! all you gotta do is talk to him because i promise you hes not happy with what he does .. hes hooked on it and he cant stop! all he has to do is try .. and you can help him with that and im pretty sure he will be glad he has someone there to help him with his drug habits ! *hope i helped* ~LAUREN~

Does he have any close friends apart from you ar anyone to talk to properly? The best thing to do if you want him to talk to you about it is perhaps to ask his advice about something, real or make-believe. By doing this you are opening yourself up to him and letting him know that you find him important enough to share your secrets and problems with him. By doing this a few times he might start to open up to you more. People who drink and smoke weed are usually unhappy about something and they try and make it go away by soking and drinking. Does he drink every day of his life or something? Although I dont support drug use or alcohol use by minors, I must admit that kids will be kids. It is a natural phase of a teenagers life to try and exsplore new things. If he drinks every day of his life than yeah he needs to deffinitly be checked into some kind of center, however if hes just doing it on the weekends with his friends, whats wrong with that? Lots of teenagers do such things. As long as he is not drinking and driving or any dangerouse act like that. This is the way I see it if hes exsperimenting with drugs and alcohol now when he turns 21 it wont be so bad it will be just another birthday to him. I dont know how much this kid drinks or uses drugs or whatever but I hope that you and this kids mother are not taking things to literally.

Talk to him! Tell him how you feel! If you really want him to go into rehab or to a clinic, tell him that! Just ask him why he has been doing this to himself! There has to be a reason to everything! You could always ask an adult or councelor about this but don't mention any names if you don't want to! Hope I helped :) Good luck!
