Help please
Ok, well, i'm planning to pierce my belly button next weekend by myself. Wut would be the best way to clean it, and which would be the best way to pierce it? (a needle or a belly button ring)

i tried to pierce it myself and it hurt a little bit and if the only reason you want to pierce it yourself because your parents wont let you then goot to clairs and ask tell them that you want to buy a piercing ring a barbell is perfect and buy the cleanser it might cost you between 15.00 - 20.00 dollars. If you do that then have one of your friends come ova your house and do it for you pierce it from the bottom up and its better if you have a friend because it will be easier and if you do it by yourself it might go a different way and go sideways. The best way to go is talk to your parents abou it and be nice and explain why you want just keep bugging them it works that how i got my parents to say yes! hope i helped!

Alright, a needle is a good way if you are going to do it yourself, and then after that put the ring in. What you need to do is get some rubbing alcohol so you can sanatize your belly button and dip the needle in there so it is sanatized. Or, you could get a lighter so you can clean and warm the needle to help the piercing. I did it on my sister, and we used the lighter. Before you go poking yourself, get some ice and put it on your belly button and numb the area so you don't feel it as much. Then just start from the top and poke it through. And yeah, this will hurt a little. You might need to numb it more than once and don't be surprised if it bleeds. If you don't finish it and it scabs over, you need to wait until it heals to do it again. And I hope you understand that doing it yourself is very dangerous. You are at risk of infection by getting it done professionally so you better be careful when doing this yourself. Infections can make you sick and such. There is also the risk of hitting the wrong thing and paralizing yourself in areas while doing that. xo**

Well... I dont think you should be attempting to do it yourself. My mom's a nurse and has had many cases of people getting really nasty infections from doing it themselves... BUT if you must use alot of alcohol, and clean the needle you're piercing it with. A needle is definitely better than a belly button ring because you won't have to try as hard to get it in, reducing irritation. LUCK

My advice to you is to not do it your self because you need a really really thick needle (almost thick as a nail) to do it not just a pin, it hurts like a mofo and it can get infected. I would get it professionally done because they give you all the stuff you need to clean it. You can do it yourself but not with just a regular pin.
