IP address
I was on AIM the last night and some guy IMed me from my school and started harrassing me calling me a slut and a bitch... stupid stuff like that. My friend's dad is a cop and I asked him what I should do since this was not the first nor the second time it has happened to me. He told me that I could find out his IP address. If I didn't know who he was, there was nothing they could do about it unless I knew who he was. Does anyone know how I can find out who this guy is and how I find his IP? Thank you so much if you can help!

Well, if he blogged you then I guess it'd be hard. But you could create a stupid xanga website or something like that, and put in an IMchaos link..and that tells you the sn that's clicked the link, and their IP address. If he clicked your like then his IP address would be right in there. www.IMchaos.com ... look up the link spy.. and pray that he clicks on it.

Generally, instant messaging programs do not allow users to find out each other's IP addresses for security reasons...
I suggest you try to report the abuse to AIM staff, and hopefully they will ban his account... He can probably create another account, but hopefully he won't make one account after another just to annoy you, and AIM might be able to ban his IP for repeat offenses if he does...

well...im unsure of how to find out his IP adress, BUT if you cant find out when he is logged off, then create another sn and find it out on that one since he hasnt blocked you one it. Hope this little tip helps you! Good luck!!!

If he has blocked you you won't be able to IM him or see when he logs on or off. It's like he's offline. You could get a new SN and then add him to your buddylist.
