AIM
ok i recently got a new computer and dsl..i had dialup and now i can leave my AIM on all the time like everyone else does with ther away msg on! well i hav windows xp (idk if that helps) and whenever i put my away msg on and then like leave the computer for even 15 mins i go back on and it lyke signed me off and re signed me on and took my away mssg on...it ALWAYS does this whenever i hav my away mssg on for lyke 15 mins! its really annoying....no 1 nos my pw or nothing...is ther nething i can do?

my computer does that too!!!!!!!! and its so stupid but i think you can do something like on ur desktop right click and hit where it says settings and then like push somehing but you have to have computer adminastraighter and i dont have that so you probly do so check it out

Mine did that too. It might be because of your power settings. A lot of computers come set up to go to stand by after every so long, as to conserve power. Just go to your options page and change it.

try uninstalling aim and then adding it again. that happened to me for a while, but seems to have stopped after i did that. it's like filling in the holes that were for some reason created while aim was being installed

You probably have to change the settings for that. If you have a screen saver or something, try turning that off. And change the idle thing on your AIM. Or maybe your DSL just disconnects and then reconnects.

It didn't sign u off. When u cum back and it's on the log in menu (where u click ur name with the icon) it didn't sign u off, u just click ur icon again and everything's as u left it. TEll me if this works, hope i helped!

I have aim too and sometimes that happend its because the instant messanger has to recconect sometimes i can leave my away message on for like 5 hours but sumtimes on like 20 mins part of the reason you cant leave your away message on for a long time is that when you have a new computer the computer has to get used to the new programs and stuff hope your comp get better cya

well u could change ur password c it that helps and i have an xp to and that happen to me to and my dad was on the phone for like 2 hours tring to fix it or u could do system recovery that might help to
