Er.. all Summer I went through drilling.. I think I actually got addicted to that novacaine =o) haha. But it would usually take about 5 hours or so for it to stop. Maybe 3? But in that time.. you shouldn't eat food.. so I wouldn't drink soda..

The numbness will probably be cleared by 2 - 2.5 hours of waiting. :)

About a day or two, nothing more than that. However it should take less and if it stays with u for more than a week, tell ur parents and contact ur dentist.

it should go away in a couple hours. You'll slowly start noticing you can feel your lip, and it might be tingly- like really, really light pins and needles. How long ago did you get your filling? If it is less than an hour you shouldn't be drinking or eating.

My mother always advised me not to jump on the trampoline while my mouth was frozen because if I split my lip I wouldn't feel it... so stay away from trampolines.

You'll be able to feel your mouth again in the morning. Avoid from biting your lip and saying to people LOOK IT DOESN'T HURT SEE *bites lip really hard* My friend did that and she had a fat lip the next day. It will be fine by tomorrow. It might even go away by tonight! Hope this helped.
