My hair is really long..and very very thick..I have trouble straightening it myself..but whenever anyone else straightens it for me it turns out beautiful..Does anyone have any good tips to help me get my hair super straight and look good..and does anyone know any good products to use?

Divide the thickness of ur hair so the straightener has an easier time on ur hair. Dont just get one big chunk and try to straighten it. Hope i helped!

Gosh, I have really thick hair, too! You can see in my pictures how straight I get it, though! I say use a really good straightener, like a Chi, and you just have to be patient. Tie half your hair in a ponytail, and work on straightening the hair that's down, then switch. Just be really patient, and keep straightening until it's really straight and pretty! :)

You should get a hair cut... & tell the stylist to thin ur hair from the baQ... i get that done... about twice a year... it makes str8tening my hair really easy

Hey! I know what you mean..its because when other people do it they can see your hair from every angle and see every detail..also you become less patient when you do it yourself! My hair use to be just like that..until I got it thinned..you can do that it helps alot! It costs just as much as getting it cut..and its alot easier to deal with! But if you don't want to do that then before you straighten it..blow dry it straight and use Friz Ease by John Frieda or Biosilk before you dry your hair. After that straighten you hair in little parts..about one or 2 inches thick...and go down the hair very slowly..and keep doin it until that part is straight..then just do it for each part! If you don't already have one of these..buy a Chi or Hot Tools straightener! Hope I helped! <3 ---- Taliaa

Umm, I don't know any products, but I do know that if you put your hair up and leave parts of it down then straighten it and then let some more pieces down and then it wont be so hard and you will only have little pieces to straighten at a time. -Kayla

Try using paul mitchell striaghtening gel and try striaghtening your hair with a iron. I know it sounds stupid but hey it works. LOL. If you do use a iron, go to a salon and ask them for deep mosturizing stuff and some other stuff to keep your hair healthy, also make sure you get your hair cut at least once a month, the iron kills the end of your hair.

My friends are the same way. What we use is an iron. If you use a towel, then you probably won't burn yourself. Just lay a towel around your neck, and on the ironing board, or whatever you use. Then iron your hair sortf of like what you would do for clothes. Cheap, and it works wonders! Or you can get those expensive straighteners. We had a cheap conair one, and it sucked, but then my sister went out and bought one of those $50 straighteners, and it works pretty well. I say go for the iron, and be careful. Also, the iron might hurt your hair, so maybe go to a salon and get gel or moisterizing stuff for it. Head over to your nearest salon, and ask them for advice on what to use to make your hair stay healthy.

ok, this may sound kinda dumb, but i have thick hair too, and i got these really super tiny layers (they did them with a razor looking thingy...i forget what they are called) and it thined my hair out a bit, and now i can straighten it fine. maybe try some John Frieda products. i hear they work miracles. try that. i hope you get your hair problems solved. lol.
