New look for dress
I just found out from my friends that I am going to Homecoming with them, which is next saturday! my family's budgit is very low and we can't afford to buy a brand new dress. I have my old dress from last years 8th grade dance. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to make it look different. Here is a picture of the dress:

Hey, A great way to change would be just adding some extra black sheer fabric at the bottom to give it a little more movement and fullnes. Rhinestones and glitter are fun, but not if this dance is really formal. Try a store like Deb where you can get cute dresses cheaper also. Lastly doing your hair in a fun spiky updo and some simple but nice make up will change. Spikey heeled shoes also?

Hey well you could cut the sleeves to add a new look and add some sparkles and sequins to it. Acessorize with some cute earrings and a necklace! YOu should go to some websites to get ideas from other dresss: heres a good website with some really cute dresses

Cute dress! Maybe you could buy some violet ribbon (matching those flowers) about an inch wide and tie that around your waist. i think that'd be really cute! I also like that idea of the rhinestones around the neckline. cute! Wear your hair and makeup differently from last year too.

hEy! well... cUte dress by the way! LoL! i would definately either put some silver/pink rhinestones on the dress to jazz it up a bit. Either put them on the neckline or around the flower. and also wear a new necklace or earrings to make it look even hotter.... and if u wanted 2 get it altered... then i would maybe cut of the sleeves and make it a strapless... at my homecoming this year... all of the girls wore strapless dresses and there really in right now... so you could maybe have ur mom do that if u didnt want to spend the money... just make sure the dress is tight enough to stay on first! And get a corsage 2.… u can simply just make one by stringing some flowers on a pin or u can make a tight wrist one 2! (drop 1 in my box if u want more details) bUUUt… have a suuuper good time at homecoming! (its SoOo fUn!) and let me know FoR sUrE what u end up doing with ur dress!

The dress is gorgeous! Try sewing sequins on the dress and some fringe or ribbons at the bottom. Do your hair all funky and wear some pretty jewelry. Don't worry I am sure you will look pretty no matter what. :)

very pretty dress! To make it look a little differnt maybe you can use fabric glue and attach sequiens or rhine stones along the bottom rim of it and sleeves. Or maybe you can sew on fake flowers on the sleeves like one or two, or just one big one rite under the neck. You can get the flowers and rhinestones n stuff if u wanted to do that at any craftstore. oh btw maybe you can get a cute bow and sew it on right under the neck also. Hope that helps :)

well your dress is realy cute... but so it's to expensive for you to make it look different.. i would geat a real cute silver heart shaped necklace(check at maybe Fashion Bug they have real cute stuff there) and i wouldput like a pink head band(like the ones you tie in the back for in my hair and curl my hair in spirals.. i would also go to walmart in the sewing section for like $5 you can get these real cute beads and have you mom or someone you know sew them around the bottom of you dress... well i hope this helped

alright, i'd wear a white sash around your waste, and tie it on the side, and wear some seriously distracting jewlery on your neck. silver would be better. do something awesome with your hair. Maybe wear a similar white head band or something.

Well for starters, thats an adorable dress. Ur dress would look so different and amazing if u wore jewelry, and i'm not talking about the jewelry that the other posters said. What i mean is that u should get either a regular necklace or a very long necklace, u could even use nice marti gra beads, but u could use it to make a belt like thing around the dress to fancy it up. For a very low price u could go out and get some fabric and make a shawl likething to match the belt. I think it would look very cute! Well good luck w/ ur dance!

You could always buy new jewlery and new shoes to go with the dress and do your hair in a different way. Plus, it will be dark so not that many people will notice you have the same dress. By the way that is a nice dress... Wear like jewlery that has pink stones in it with pink dangle earrings and a pink shawl. Hope this helped.

You could remove the sleeves that hang and add those diamonds all around the flower design!! Those are just some ideas that you could do!! Hope I helped :)
