vickiooos answered Monday October 4 2004, 7:24 pm: there are loads of possibilities...:
--*i have some really athletic friends (and apparently to them) they like never even feel their periods or rarely get cramps or even periods because their body is so in shape so maybe if you've been working out lately or getting more exercise then that's why you skipped
--* or maybe you've been really stressed out lately and your hormones and body is just off balance. sometimes stress can cause a delay in your period or a skip
--*also maybe some of the food you've been eating lately has a role in all of this..
the list goes on but im just really tired (lol) so not much comes to mind.. those are the most likely top 3 theories that come to my mind.. if you skip again next month *preferably it's usually after no period for 3 months* then go check with your doctor and make sure there's no infections or anything wrong "down there". xOCarrie answered Monday October 4 2004, 6:14 pm: You have absolutly nothing to worry about. Periods are random and surprising. They can be irregular all the way up to age 18-20. Dont worry about it im sure your fine. P.s. Abstenence!! way to go!!
Trevor-Wolf answered Monday October 4 2004, 6:09 pm: Don't freak out to much and make yourself all rowdy'd up. Irregular periods for girls at your age is very common. They may be caused by a variety of things such as a fluctuation in hormones which is very common at your age, also a change in your diet, and exercise. Also a very important factor is also STRESS!! So thats why I am suggesting to you to calm down and don't be to scared. You have never had sex in your life so there is no chance of pregnancy, etc. Since I don't know all your conditions/symptoms and I am not a MD it is impossible to diagnose you online. Some things that might help include birth control. Birth control acts as sort of a stimulant for your period and for many girls/women helps with their irregular period. To be safe though, I would make an appointment with your gyno. or visit your local health clinic (ex. Planned Parenthood, etc.) to be checked out for any further problems. Just take it easy and don't stress yourself out to much, it will just make things even worse. Hope I was of some help. :) [ Trevor-Wolf's advice column | Ask Trevor-Wolf A Question ]
xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday October 4 2004, 5:43 pm: If you're active it can prevent you from getting your period. It's only been 5 days so just calm down, after a week and a half, you'd might want to go to the doctor. If you keep worrying it won't come any sooner. Your period gets delayed by stress and activity. If you play sports that could also be a reason. Just relax, you'll be fine, especially if you're not sexually active. Nothing to worry about.
Karen answered Monday October 4 2004, 4:58 pm: Hey, don't worry, it's normal for your period to be irregular like this! It's probably caused by stress and not eating right. It'll change eventually! Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

MFS answered Monday October 4 2004, 4:47 pm: Stress, changes in diet, increase in physical activity, etc... can all delay the onset of your period. Unless it never comes back, you have little to worry about. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
