Hey, on my Advice Column it says i've been rated 6 time, and my average is 4.83, but when i take a look in feedback i've been rated 16 time, and i calculated my average to be about 4.9. What's happening there? Is advicenators just stuffing up or is it me doing something wrong?
Karen answered Sunday September 19 2004, 8:30 pm: Advicenators only calculates your ratings from the past 30 days every 24 hours. That's why the ratings are messed up for you. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

There are several reasons the numbers may not match up. First, if the rating is over 30 days old, we don't count it. This gives every columnist a chance to have a "clean slate" if they've been here a while. Second, if the rating applies to a private question, we don't count it. It's a public thing.
