I'm moving pretty soon, and I really want to have a "theme" for my new room. I get whatever I want, and I don't know what would look good, my interests:
1. Anime and manga (Japanese stuff) That's my favorite, I really want a Japanese style room.
2. Nature.
3. Dark stuff, i.e. kind of punkish.
4. American Eagle, and Aeropostale. I know you can't really make that into a theme, but y'know.
LBel26 answered Monday April 25 2005, 8:48 pm: A Tropical Theme would be cool. A girl I babysat once had a tropical themed room with lots of stuffed monkeys and it looked really cool. She said she got a lot of the stuff at Ikea. She also said she she and her mom made alot of it their selves with stuff from craft stores which I think is awesome and I wish I could be so creative. nicoleluvzae answered Thursday December 30 2004, 3:40 am: Ahh.. i luff manga ;] my favorites are kare kano and Marmalade Boy, basically nethin from TOKYOPOP. but yea! buy japanese character things for your room (ie; Pucca, Totoro, that little white bunny that i totally forgot-its-name, Sanrio) and have them all over your room. Punk your room up with like, a funky kind of black carpet. Go on a spree to Hot Topic to find cute things from there, becuase that place is so punk. i <3 it. To get like ae and aero in it, print pictures of like, american eagle or aero guys and enlarge it to make a poster, and hang it on your wall! brighten your room up with a lil cali love by making a collage of ANYTHING cali! wow i love everything on the list too! good luck n HAVE FUN! Mercy_x_Me answered Sunday September 19 2004, 3:48 pm: Make the style surf, it ties up Cali and Nature. Get a mural on your wall of the ocean, buy a cheap surf board of ebay and nail it to the wall, (or you can buy a fake on, idk where you would tho), make your color theme aquas and sea green. . . the walls w. out murals can be three different aqua/blue colorz . . . get an air machine and play 'ocean waves' when you go to sleep, you'll really feel like your in cali, and they help you fall asleep really fast, you could even turn it on while your friends were there to make them feel the touches of the room. Gl !!! Hope you like, this is atleast 1 of my better ideas... haha i love home decoratin, if you need ANYMORE help, come straight to me... i wanna here what you pick!!! lemme no plz [ Mercy_x_Me's advice column | Ask Mercy_x_Me A Question ]

behindxthesexeyes answered Sunday August 29 2004, 9:43 pm: I recently moved my room to a bigger one downstairs, and my advice to you is to paint it a light color, or if your personality is more bright, paint it a more vibrant color, and purchace matching lights, bookshelves, or whatever you come to like. Then afterwards, put up a few shelves, make it "you". Paint things on the wall and buy cool bed sheets. Put up posters, express yourself. You can mix all your favorite things together with a little creativity!
