im only 14 and about 3 days ago i got hit in the side of the face with a softball during warm up to a game... my mom took me to the doctor yesterday and he said that i had a concussion and to watch it closly because i might have a slow internal bleeding in my head... he said that if i started to act funny and get slurred speech and can barly walk that i probably need a cat scan to see what all happened for shure.. in the short time that ive have this the back of my head behind my ear has swelled up (i was hit in the front of the head) and i have really bad headaches... im getting to the point where i walk really slow and i almost fall over.. i scared of what will happen and when my friends found out they all started crying... the person who threw the ball that hit me in the head cant forgive herself and i dont know what to do.. i dont know whats gunna happen and i just need some help

It is frigtening to have to have it done, but it is just a precaution at this stage, from which the doctors can look at what, if anything, needs to be done to help you. *Hugs* [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]

If you don't treat internal bleedings, there's a chance that you can die. I'm not trying to scare you but it's true. It's better to make sure you do get a cat scan because if you don't, things can turn bad. As for the person who threw the ball, I don't know what you could do. Hope I helped and good luck with everything :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
