One year I was shootin' for my letter in track.
I wanted to go to this one meet really badly.
It was in over a mountain pass, and it was an invite thing.
I talked to my sprints coach, and she said "Yeah, you could compete there."
Then she went and talked to the head coach.
A week later I asked up on it, and she's like "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't get you registered."
End of the track season rolls around.
I'm excited.
I'm wasn't sure if I was gettin' my letter.
I had the potential.
Well, it turns out I was ONE meet short.
If my head coach had sent me I'd have gotten it.
Grrr...
That was my sophomore year.
I was upset, and now I'm entering my senior year, and I haven't competed in high school atheltics since.
